The new Revolution Design Racing Products Ultra Flat Head Carburettor Wrench is a dedicated flat head screwdriver to adjust and monitor the carb needle settings on nitro and gasoline engines. Offering a hardened spring steel 4×0.8mm tool tip the wrench is ideal to adjust the carburettor’s mixture needles while a gauge incorporated in the tool blade helps to monitor the adjustments made. Simply hold the gauge in place with the fingertips and rotate the screw driver into the desired direction to richen or lean out the carb setting – the red anodised indicator will clearly display the changes made. Part of the tool handle is also a rubber plug that helps to securely stop the engine by pressing the wrench against the flywheel. As usual the tool is constructed from high quality 7075-T6 aluminium while the blade is made from high quality spring steel. Laser-etched logos round out that signature Revolution Design look.

Coming soon from nVision, previously known especially for their range of high-performance nitro engines and LiPo batteries, are the R540 competition electric brushless motors. Designed by motor guru Oscar Jansen the new R line motors offer a machined, orange anodised aluminium can with alloy front and rear endbells. Excessive machining of the can and endbells reduce the overall weight while improving cooling efficiency at the same time. Pre-shaped heavy-duty solder tabs make for easy and reliable wiring even when using large diameter wire. The sensored motors target the serious racer who is looking for a reasonably priced competition motor with the R540 being available as 4.5T to 8.5T Modified and 10.5T to 21.5T Stock racing variant.

Tamiya’s highly awaited FF-04 Evo front wheel drive chassis will hit the stores soon. Seen for the first time during the recent All Japan Hobby Show the kit builds on a newly designed 2.5mm carbon fibre chassis with 2.0mm top deck and TRF418 suspension arms. The kit features an updated servo mount for low-profile and standard-size servos and the car is equipped with a 3-gear transmission taken over from the XV-01 rally kit. The FF-04 Evo is set for a release in late November.

Team C introduce a line of lightweight hex wrenches in a range of dimensions. Coming as 1.5mm, 2.0mm, 2.5mm and 3.0mm standard hex and also as 2.0mm, 2.5mm and 3.0mm ball hex variant, all tools offer milled aluminium handles with weight reducing holes and milled rings to indicate the size. The handles come orange anodised while hardened tool tips make for exceptional durability.

Following Xenon’s announcement to test and possibly produce ultra-fine 84 pitch main and pinion gears for 1/12th scale pan cars, Active Hobby Products from Japan has gone a step further and now announce the release of 84 pitch gears for electric touring cars. The main gears will become available as 128T to 146T variants in 2 tooth increments while the corresponding pinions will be of 44T to 51T size. It is understood that using the gears, that become available in October, will make for an even more efficient power supply compared to 64 pitch gears with the main gears being made from a special delrin material for wear and durability while the pinions will be made from 7075 aluminium.

Xpert RC’s new WR series of waterproof servos is designed to work with everything from a 1/10th scale crawler to a 1/5th scale monster and they have been designed to function completely submerged in water. Available are three servos, the standard voltage WR-4401-LV (0.077s/280oz-in) and two high voltage compatible offerings, the WR6601-HV (0.118s/360oz-in) and the WR-7701-HV (0.126s/485oz-in). All offer IP67 rated protection, specially hardened metal gears, advanced firmware for no buzzing sound and high ampere and high temperature protection features.

Replay distributors Team Associated introduce the Prime X “action” camera system. Building on the XD1080 the latest model offers a 145 degree angle T2.8 lens with anti-glare coating, an all-new 1/2.3 in, 16MP CMOS sensor for even sharper HD video and still images, and a higher capacity 1700mAh battery for 3.5 hour battery life per charge. A new charger fills the battery up to two times faster. Also new are redesigned power level and record LED indicators and new wider operation buttons. The camera is configurable from both the Replay XD iOS or Android app thanks to WiFi and the advanced settings file written to the SD card. This allows to enable more pro features to fine-tune the image and extra features. The camera comes with a fully loaded package of different mounts, SD card, USB wire and transportation bag.

Hudy introduce an 8-compartment tiny hardware box for the storage of small hardware such as screws, nuts and shims. Measuring 97x69mm the box offers four separate double compartments, and a modular design that allows to attach or detach compartments to create boxes of various sizes.
